Opens on Chapter 11’s example: 2/3 of the 3/4 of a pan of brownies that's left, and Ali's 4 yards of ribbon cut into 1/3-yard bows.

From the book, Chapter 11. 2/3 × 3/4: the pan is cut in quarters one way and thirds the other; the overlap is 6 of 12 pieces, a half. 4 ÷ 1/3 asks how many thirds fit in 4: three in each yard, so 12 bows. Dividing by 3/4 is multiplying by 4/3 because 3/4 fits into 1 one and a third times, so 4 scoops fit in 3 cups.
