From the book, Chapter 17. From 40 errors to 16 is a 60% drop; “150%” comes from dividing by the new number. A real 150% drop from 40 would leave −20. Shares of 45%, 38% and 29% add to 112%, that's 60 more answers than people, so between 30 and 60 of the 500 picked more than one option. Twelve salaries between $40,000 and $60,000 total at most $720,000. 3,000 of 2,400 is 125%. Fourteen, eight and eight hours make 30. 120 miles in a day is 5 mph for 24 hours; at a walker’s 3 mph it takes 40 hours.
Rounding is half up, the way the book rounds. Numbers can be typed as 1,450, $38, 12%, 1/20, 2.5 million or 3 × 10⁷. Everything stays in your browser: no sign-up, nothing stored or sent.
